In addition, an 2018 interview I did with Judith Altmann, a Holocaust Survivor, won an award. In 2020 and 2021 two other awards acknowledged the content of interviews dealing with Child Sex Trafficking in CT and Non-Profit leadership. Eleanor Roosevelt told us that 'the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams' and a celebrity icon, Diane von Furstenberg, echos that sentiment. In a NYT 'Corner Office' interview by Adam Bryant (5/3/15), Diane asserts that you can't fake confidence - 'you look like an idiot.' Her tough-love message is that 'in order to trust yourself, you have to have a relationships with yourself, you have to be hard on yourself and not delusional.' Also, DvF says the biggest lesson she learned early in life is that the most important relationship is the one you have with yourself -- then every other relationship is a PLUS, not a MUST!
